Concluding Remarks and Prospects: What Next in Social Law in the EU?
Original language description
Membership in the European Union has profoundly influenced the development of labour and social security laws in the countries that joined the EU in 2004. EU integration has substantially standardized and improved labour and social welfare laws in Central and Eastern European countries, enhancing worker protections, improving working conditions, and promoting equality and social justice. However, several challenges persist. Not all EU standards have been fully implemented into national laws, and those that have been adopted often lack effective enforcement mechanisms.
