Original language description
The article examines the development of three scientific disciplines at the German University in Prague in the Years 1918-1945 in the space between science and politics from the perspective of two determining factors. First, it examines the connections between research and the space for dealings and experiences utilized by historians, Germanists, and Slavists to formulate their political and scholalrly views. Subsequently, it examines the development from the point of view of contemporary methodologicaltrends and theamtic challenges. The combination of both perspectives allows to comprehend scholarship in the selected humanities disciplines as a type of cultural, social, and political activity.
