Federation vs Balkanization in Central Europe - Geohistorical approach to élites' perceptions at World War I period
Original language description
The author laid out a geo-historical approach to Central Europe, roughly between the Congress of Vienna (1815) and the Treaty of Sèvres (1920). The unity was assured by the effort of tracing, in the path of history, both the theoretical debate and the political implications of two conceptions of Central Europe: federation vs balkanization. He was sustained from the geopolitical studies' point of view, theoretical and methodological guidelines. A particular attention was paid to élites' perceptions, key neoclassical realist variable.
