    The chapter discusses the Italian &apos;season of constitutional reform&apos; since the early 1990s. The emphasis is on constitutional politics and discourses of constitutional reform, with a specific interest in justifications for constitutional reform, provided by different political parties as well as civil society actors and movements. A specific and original focus is on structural &apos;constitutional resistance&apos; from the part of civil society. The aim of the chapter is to contribute to a political sociology of constitutional politics.
