Constitutional Paradigms: The Italian 1948 Constitution between Conservation and Reform
Original language description
The chapter discusses the Italian 'season of constitutional reform' since the early 1990s. The emphasis is on constitutional politics and discourses of constitutional reform, with a specific interest in justifications for constitutional reform, provided by different political parties as well as civil society actors and movements. A specific and original focus is on structural 'constitutional resistance' from the part of civil society. The aim of the chapter is to contribute to a political sociology of constitutional politics.
