The Czech Minority in Vienna 1948-1989: A Conflict Between Patriotic and Free Compatriots on the Pages of the Czech Press in Vienna
Original language description
The study addresses the issue of the conflict between pro-democratic and pro-communist oriented parts of the Czech minority in Vienna between 1948 and 1989. The split in the minority is examined mainly through the disputes on the pages of newspapers representing both opposition wings of the minority (the Democrats - Vídeňské svobodné listy; the Communists - Vídeňské menšinové listy, later Krajanské noviny).
