Original language description
The Winter School in Oral History introduces students to the cutting edge research that is going on in the area. Students will be introduced to the practical impact of new media and technology on oral history and story telling. Through hands-on workshopsstudents will be introduced to concepts of data mining, indexing, annotating and the steps involved in working online with new media. Apart from introducing students the contemporary theoretical breakthrough in understanding form and meaning, the schoolalso introduces students to cutting-edge modern technologies. With a faculty drawn from across the world, the course aims to set standards in the field through discussions on methodology, archiving standards, ethical issues and forms of dissemination.
