Original language description

The return of the Czechs from the city of Zelów in Poland and the Ukrainian region of Volhynia to their fatherland began after the Second World War. The Exiles had considerably different views and behaviour from the standards of the (local) Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren&apos;s congregations. They were revitalising old congregations and establishing new ones in border areas in Czechoslovakia. Czechoslovakia was established as a national state of Czechs and Slovaks. The largest influence on the Exiles had compatriotic associations and churches.
