Masarykovy domovy - sociální projekt hlavního města Prahy

  • Original language description

The Masaryk homes - social institutions of the capital city of Prague (today's Thomayer Hospital) - were ceremoniously opened in 1928. The idea and implementation of this project of modern institutional social care was associated with Dr. Petr Zenkl, a representative for the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party and an important figure in the field of Prague's communal social policy after the establishment of Greater Prague. The paper presents the chronology of project implementation and, at the same time, its reflection in a wide range of political parties on the Prague City Council, which was significantly influenced by the personification of the project in Dr. Zenkl.
