Original language description
This article explores the language of hope through a theological, psychological, and literary lens, with particular attention to Mary, the Mother of God, as its model. Engaging with Pope Francis's reflections on Mary and the maternal nature of the Church, the study examines how Marian imagery intersects with poetic and psychoanalytic perspectives on language and hope. The paper argues that hope is not primarily conveyed through words but especially when the manner of expression itself embodies and enacts it. This analysis ultimately suggests that theology should cultivate a language rooted in attentiveness and relationality, highlighting its deep connection to the theology of the Incarnation, in which the Word is not merely spoken but becomes flesh.
