History Tied Down by the Normativity of Tradition? Inversion of Perspective in the Orthodox Theology: Challenges and its Problems
Original language description
This chapter examines three Orthodox theologians, Florovsky, Schmemann and Meyendorff, and shows how each made a particular (though different) moment in tradition normative for Orthodox theological synthesis and aso for the Orthodox reading of history. It proposes alternative reading of tradition when synthesis is replaced by perichresis.
