THE DAUGHTERS OF MEN IN THE BOOK OF WATCHERS

  • Original language description

The aim of the study is to analyse a role and function of the daughters of men in the Book of Watchers. It is argued, that while the daughters of men of the Genesis narrative simply represented humanity as opposed to the divine sphere of sons of God, in the Enochic narrative, they symbolize certain part of the Jewish community, which, in the author's perspective, contributes to the wicked state of the world by spreading sinful knowledge and deeds.
