Beyond Wars and Anathemas: Hermeneutics of Conflict Resolution in Different Theological Traditions

Original language description

The international conference brought together participants from 15 countries that together searched for the theological sources for the solution of the conflicts both in the past and the presence. The attention was paid to the question how nationalism and religious rivalry contribute to making up the narratives causing the conflicts (in Russia, Middle East, Balkan countries and African contexts) and, which ways of overcoming these conflicting narratives that worked in the past. In this context there were various forms of resilience both positive and negative discusses and the ways how to discern them.
