Philosophizing with Children on National Tradition Related do Christmas
Original language description
The paper describes how children from the Czech Republic combine their individual images and notions with traditions and figures around Christmas. The plurality of "gift-giving persons" mirrors cultural discontinuities as well as reorientations after the"Velvet Revolution" in 1989. It investigates how children connect "Little Jesus" and baby Jesus in the crib. The study shows that there are many different ways in which these two figures interrelate.
