    Gia al tempo del risorgimento esistono diversi contatti tra Italia e le terre boeme. La reciproca collaborazione tra i Cechi e gli Italiani si manifesto straordinariamente durante la prima guerra mondiale; al termine di questa i rapporti si raffreddarono. Nel 1944 membri dell'Esercito Governativo del Protettorato di Boemia e Moravia furono mandati in Italia, dove poi molti combatterono contro il nazi-fascismo. Con l'arrivo del regime comunista in Cecoslovacchia, operarono qui emigranti italiani, alcuninella radio Oggi in Italia.
