    The article deals with the position of Shir HaShirim (The Song of Songs) in the Jewish liturgical Passo-ver poems. There is an emphasis on the allegorical understanding of the Song of Songs in the Jewish writings and tradition. The Passover piyyutim mir-ror the allegorical understanding of this biblical book and stress Israel&apos;s staying in exile and its longing for the return to the promised land. The article focuses especially on the morning liturgical poems.
