Carcinogenic and nephrotoxic alkaloids aristolochic acids upon activation by D,T-diaphorase from adducts found in DNA of patients with chinese herbs nephropathy
Original language description
Aristolochic acid, a naturally occurring nephrotoxin and carcinogen, is implicated in a unique type of fibrosis, designated Chinese herbs nephropathy. This is the first report demonstrating an activation of aristolochic acid by D,T-diaphorase.
