Menší šířka a výška patra potvrzuje podstatné omezení prostoru pro jazyk u jednostranných rozštěpů rtu a patra s klinickými důsledky.Klenba patra je asymetrická,anteriorně nejvyšší na straně rozštěpu, posteriorně na zdravé straně.
