Original language description
The high amount of microscopic charcoal in the Early to Middle Holocene (K-2, K-3) may suggest human influence. In accordance with this, archaeological investigations brought evidence for intensive Mesolithic occupation around the site. Archaeological investigations indicate an extremely prominent settlement phase during the Iron Age (Hallstatt to La Te`ne periods). This settlement activity must have had a significant influence on the woodlands. In pollen zones K-4 and K-5, human indicators and fluctuating curves of trees may suggest this process.
