    Both degradation mechanisms, delayed ettringite formation (DEF) and alkali-silica reaction (ASR) were investigated in concrete dam in Vranné nad Vltavou with a view to: (1) find aggregates causing the degradation of concrete; (2) define parts of concretedam mostly affected by degradation and (3) correlate water attack with the extent of concrete degradation.
