Original language description
Chaetarthria incisa sp.n. (Coleoptera: Hydrophilidae) from New Caledonia is described and illustrated. The tribe Chaetarthriini is recorded for the first time from New Caledonia. Taxonomic notes on C. nigerrima (BLACKBURN, 1891) are provided. Terrestrialhabits of the species of the genus Chaetarthria STEPHENS, 1835 are discussed.
