    Johannes Reuchlin and the Christian Kabbalah

  • Original language description

    The paper deals with Reuchlin's concept of the Christian Kabbalah, included in his two works: De Verbo Mirifico (1494) and De arte cabalista (1517). In his early work we can find similar ideas as in Pico's concept of Kabbalah. However, in his later work, De arte cabalistica, Reuchlin adpoted critical attitude towards his initiator (Pico) and developed a new concept of Kabbalah in the Christian world.
