Original language description
Cross-border cooperation is ranked among the fundamental development factors of border regions. Cross-border cooperation issues have already been discussed by many authors, for example, similar research with focus on the factors and the influence of private companies (e.g. Geenhuizen et al., 1996), multilevel governance factors in cross-border cooperation (e.g. Kirchner 1998; Gualino, 2003) and drivers of regional cross-border cooperation (Perkmann, 2003). The paper looks at recent developments in forming of cross-border cooperation activities, types, obstacles and incentives in the context of the regional structure of the Czech-Saxony region. There are also reflected factors and limits of unstudied forms of cross-border cooperation and cooperation in the context of the EU subsidy me
