Original language description
5-Nitroindazole (5-NI) is a derivative of indazole, substance largely used as a reactant for the synthesis of various organic substances. 5-NI shows high toxicity against parasites from the Trypanosomatidae family, and it is a proven mutagen for bacterial cultures. A differential pulse voltammetric method with a bismuth bulk working electrode was developed for its determination, and a Britton-Robinson buffer of pH 8.0 was chosen as an optimal medium. The calibration curve was measured in the concentration range from 2 to 100 ?mol L-1 (R = -0.9989) with the limits of detection and quantification of 0.46 and 1.54 ?mol L-1, respectively (RSD = 8.3% for n = 20).
