The role of rat posterior parietal cortex in coordinating spatial representations during place avoidance in dissociated reference frames on a continuously rotating arena (Carousel)
Original language description
The paper showed the effect of posterior parietal cortex lesion on navigation in reference frames on the rotating arena (Carousel). This task allows for defining the reference frame for navigation. Surprisingly, the data showed that avoidance with respect to substratal and proximal cues tended to be impaired more severely by selective cortical ablation of the PPC than room-frame versions of the task.
