Original language description
The main objective of this study to assess LCLUC of the Prague metropolis for 1989, 1999 and 2006 based on the data of the Urban Atlas. An evaluation was made both of the total past changes throughout the period under observation and differences in the intensity and structure of changes in the partial periods of 1989-1999 and 1999-2006. In connection with the past transformation processes, the discussion focused on the driving forces of main land cover changes and the impact associated with them. The factors and impact of land use changes are also documented by the example of a selected model region/territorial sections. Last but not least, there is a discussion of the data inputs on the basis of which the changes were determined.
