Synthesis and structural characterization of a ferrocene ether-diphosphine and its Cu(I) complexes
Original language description
Bis{[1'-(diphenylphosphino) ferrocenyl] methyl} ether (3) was prepared in two steps from the [1'-(diphenylphosphino) ferrocenyl]methanol-borane (1:1) adduct and structurally characterized. Compound 3 reacted with copper(I) halides to afford structurally similar, cyclic binuclear complexes of the type [CuX{m(P, P')-3}]2 (X = Cl, Br and I) featuring equivalent Cu(I) centers with trigonal P2X donor sets symmetrically bridged by the diphosphine ligand.
