Original language description
The electrochemical behaviour of selected phenolic compounds was investigated at borondopeddiamondelectrode. Anodic activation has to be applied before each scan to ensure repeatable voltammetric response at boron doped diamond electrodes with metallic-type conductivity or semicondutive properties. The isomers of cresols exhibited similar oxidation potentials using differential pulse voltammetry in Britton-Robinson buffer pH= 2.0. Boron doped diamond electrode also succeeded as amperometric sensor in HPLC-ED setup for separation and detection of a mixture of phenolic compounds consisting of o-, m-, and p-cresol, 4-chlorophenol, 4-chlorocresol, hydroquinone, and phenol with problematic separation of p- andm-cresolonC18reversedphase column.
