Original language description
This chapter focuses primarily on recent chemical progress in the area of inositol chemistry. Special attention is paid to enantioselective synthetic approaches toward chiral inositol derivatives, namely asymmetric phosphorylation, chiral resolution, and de novo synthesis. Additionally, the preparation of bioactive inositol derivatives focusing on phosphorylated forms, utilizing stereoselective approaches, and natural product synthesis containing a natural scaffold is introduced.
