Landscape Changes Through 3D Reconstruction Using Archival Sources A Case Study of Králodvorský Castle, Czechia
Original language description
The paper examines landscape transformations through a 3D reconstruction of historical changes of Králodvorský Castle, Czechia. Using historical maps, archival plans, and documents, the study analyzes and visualizes the castle's evolution in three periods: 1253, marking its shift from a royal lodge to a noble residence; 1970, showing the pre-highway state and effects of 20th-century socio-political changes; and 2020, documenting extensive restorations and adaptation for cultural use. Primary data include archival maps, photographs, and topographic datasets. The workflow involved map digitization, digital terrain modeling, and 3D visualization. The resulting models and virtual tour illustrate architectural and landscape transformations, enhancing understanding of cultural landscape change.
