    Mechanical Properties of QE22 Magnesium Alloy Based Composites

  • Original language description

    Mechanical properties of two Mg alloy based composites were studied. Composite with QE22 matrix reinforced by 20 vol.% of short saffil fibres and hybrid composite (QE22 + 5 vol.% saffil fibres and 15 vol.% SiC particles) were deformed in compression at various temperatures. Possible hardening and softening mechanisms are discussed.
