Original language description
The neutron Time-of-Flight facility at CERN was built to measure the neutron capture and fission cross sections. A short description of the facility, the detectors and the data analysis techniques is illustrated. A short review of the preliminary resultson the fission cross sections is presented together with the implications in fundamental nuclear physics and in nuclear technologies. Future perspectives both for the experimental campaign and for the upgrade of the facility are discussed.
