PEO-like coatings prepared by plasma-based techniques

  • Original language description

'Polyethylene oxide (PEO)-like films were prepared by rf magnetron sputtering of PEO and by thermal evaporation of PEO with and without activation by argon plasma. Activation of the flux of evaporated species by plasma results in enhanced cross-linking and better stability in water, however at expense of retention of PEO character.'
