    Multidisciplinary free material optimization

  • Original language description

The paper presents the mathematical theory of the so-called multidisciplinary free material optimization in which the design space contains all physically admissible (full) elasticity tensors. We show the existence of solutions to this optimization problem. Convergence results for appropriate approximation schemes are established.
