    The room temperature optical constants of FeF2 were determined using spectral ellipsometry at photon energies between 1.3 and 5.2 eV on FeF2 films covered by gold. The spectra were employed in the design of FeF2/Fe/FeF2 sandwiches considered as sensors for weak microwave currents.
