Package FORMS is designed to facilitate the data exchange between individual programs and to simplify writing, reading, comparing and plotting various kinds of data. Package FORMS contains specifications of data forms, subroutines to write and read them,programs to perform simple operations with the data, programs to generate the data of given properties, simple graphics subroutines and programs, etc. Package FORMS contains programs for management and plotting of seismograms in the GSE 1.0 data exchange format, for 2-D and 3-D graphics including 3-D virtual reality with VRML and GOCAD visualization, for manipulation and calculation with gridded data (data cubes), programs for matrix and vector operations necessary for inversion, and other general-purpose seismic software.
