IMF Rotations Following Interplanetary Shocks: Their Influence on the Interaction with the Magnetosphere
Original language description
IP shocks are often accompanied with a rotation of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) over a large angle and this rotation can modify interaction process. The study discuses the interaction of the IP shock followed by an IMF rotation with the Earthmagnetosphere with motivation to separate their effects. The results are based on the global MHD modeling of such interaction and are compared with observations.
