Recent Results on Studying Photon Strength Functions in Rare-earth Nuclei
Original language description
According to the statistical model of the nucleus, the photon strength functions and nuclear level densities are the only entities that describe the average properties of gamma-decay of highly or moderately excited levels in medium-weight and heavy nuclei. In this contribution, available experimental results on photon strength functions in rare-earth nuclei are briefly summarized.
