Original language description
In the present work we describe a potential opportunity of the investigation of trapping doubly charged carbon cations in a cold radiofrequency 22-pole ion trap. We give details of the results of this research: from production, trapping, to a possibility of studying the reactions of these ions. We show the feasibility of the study of the reactions of C2+ with neutral molecules at low temperatures using 22PT instrument. Nevertheless, in this article, some preliminary values of reaction rates and reaction rate coefficients will be shown for demonstration purposes only. In our future studies these values can be refined.
