This article presents conclusions from the research of Czech and foreign literature focused on the telescopes' usage in both formal and informal education. The research is presented with surprising conclusion that there is a lack of articles dealing with practical use of telescopes. Collection of ideas and practical uses of telescopes will lead to creation of teaching materials and models that can develop knowledge and understanding of the concepts of telescopes.
