Multiphoton-excited exciton molecules in diamond
Original language description
In this paper we report on observation of exciton molecules in the low-temperature photoluminescence spectra of diamond. The charge carriers are excited using multiphoton absorption of few-cycle near-infrared laser pulses. We observe that peaks corresponding to exciton molecules are well resolved and the formation of electron hole droplets is suppressed due to the initial carrier dynamics and low excited carrier densities.
