Assembly Line: a tool for collaborative modeling of ontologies in public administration
Original language description
We introduce Assembly Line as a novel open-source web platform for collaborative development of ontologies, supporting change review process, and ontology publication. The platform is generic and domain independent by design, but it has been primarily used to curate a common Czech eGovernment ontology, as a consistent and coherent union of interlinked ontologies managed by individual offices. We illustrate the impact of the Assembly Line by giving an overview of developed ontologies in the Czech public administration domain, including the Registry of Rights and Obligations, and the Electronic Code of laws.
