Our research focuses on the fundamental processes of ammonia chemistry in space, particularly on the effects of nuclear spin states. Using a 22-pole cryogenic ion trap, we investigated the reactions of NH2+ and NH3+ with H2, measuring the reaction rate coefficients at 270 K. We determined the rate coefficients to be (3.5 +- 07) x 10-10 cm3s-1for the reaction NH2+ + H2 -> NH3+ + H, and (5.7 +/- 1.2) x 10e-13 cm3s-1 for the reaction NH3+ + H2 -> NH4+ + H. Our findings indicate that the nuclear spin state of H2 does not significantly influence these reaction rates at this temperature.
