    Measurement of CP asymmetries in B0 → η0K0 S decays at Belle II

  • Original language description

    We describe a measurement of charge-parity (CP) violation asymmetries in B0 RIGHTWARDS ARROW η0K0S decaysusing Belle II data. We consider η0 RIGHTWARDS ARROW ηðRIGHTWARDS ARROWγγÞπþπ- and η0 RIGHTWARDS ARROW ρðRIGHTWARDS ARROWπþπ-Þγ decays. The data were collectedat the SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy eþe- collider between the years 2019 and 2022, and containð387 6Þ x 106 bottom-antibottom meson pairs. We reconstruct 829 35 signal decays and extract theCP violating parameters from a fit to the distribution of the proper-decay-time difference between the twoB mesons. The measured direct and mixing-induced CP asymmetries are Cη0K0S 1/4 -0.19 0.08 0.03and Sη0K0S 1/4 þ0.67 0.10 0.03, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the secondare systematic. These results are in agreement with current world averages and standard model predictions.
