In mathematics, a mean is a quantity which represents the average value of a collection of two or more real numbers. The value of a mean is a real number which lies between the smallest and largest elements of the given collection.There are many types of mean. The most commonly used and well-known means are the arithmetic mean, the geometric mean, the harmonic mean, and the quadraticmean. The point of this article is not only to recall how these means are defined but also to present and elegantly prove the relationships between them.
