The political development in fifteenth century allowed nobility to gain more influence. When the king Matthias Corvinus came to Czech lands for his crusade against the Czech king George, part of the land's nobility joined Matthias' side and fought alongside him in this conflict. The same noblemen then offered Czech throne to Matthias and formed parallel government under his rule.
