The thesis is a historical study of the Holocaust. The theoretical part describes the historical facts important for understanding the results presented in the empirical part. The empirical part deals with the gynaecological care of women in Terezín in the period 1941-1945, respectively surgical procedures, pregnancy, childbirth and by whom this care was provided. The output of the thesis were calculations of births in the Terezín ghetto and the numbers of survivors of these births from the database of victims of the Terezín Memorial. The most frequent gynecological surgical procedures from the period November 1944 to June 1945 and the names of medical and nursing personalities and memorials were identified.
