  • Original language description

This bachelor's thesis explores religious processions and pilgrimages as significant elements of Baroque religious practice. It focuses on their form, musical aspects, and characterizes key features of 17th century pilgrimage songs. These aspects are illustrated through an analysis of three selected hymns from the hymnbook of Jan Rozenplut (1601). The analysis concentrates on the songs' origin, melodies, structure, textual composition, and occurrences in other hymnbooks.
