  • Original language description

During the reconstruction of the sewerage system in Leitnerova Street, in the section between Pekařská Street and Pellicova Street, parts of three sunken features were detected during rescue archaeological research in 2012. They were subsequently dated by the analysis of the finds to the high and late Middle Ages and the modern age. This article focuses on the analysis of material from a refuse pit from the first half of the 15th century. Its most important part is a series of pottery and table glass which was subjected to chemical analysis. The results are set in the context of the existing knowledge about the medieval and early modern age settlement of the suburban area before the Brněnská Gate. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
