Original language description
The aim of this study is the characterization of a spiritual itinerary as specific genre type which allows us to define the mystical experience in its ontology and constitutional processes. This genre’s point of departure is found within mystical and mystagogical literature representative of the Western Christian tradition (Bonaventure’s The Journey of the Mind into God, Teresa of Ávila’s The Interior Castle, Augustine’s Confessions).
