Project Based Learning (PBL) is a well-known concept which has naturally developed slightly diff erently depending on a national educational climate in particular countries. Advancement of any educational technique depends not only on teachers' creativity but also on their inspiration. At the Department of Chemistry and Chemistry Education, Charles University in Prague a tradition of student conferences has enabled all the participating departments to share and further develop their approach toward PBL.The effort will further continue providing more information, experience and tips not only from diff erent departments and universities in the Czech and Slovak Republic but also from abroad.
